Software Tester / QA Engineer (2-3 Years)

We are looking for a detail-oriented Software Tester / QA Engineer with 2–3 years of hands-on experience in manual testing and strong expertise in test documentation and test management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications by designing, executing, and managing test cases, maintaining test artifacts, and collaborating closely with development and product teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements, user stories, and design documents to create comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Design, write, review, and maintain test documentation including:
  • Test plans
  • Test scenarios and test cases
  • Test data
  • Test execution reports and defect reports
• Execute manual test cases for web and/or mobile applications
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing
• Log, track, and manage defects using defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla)
• Work with test management tools to organize and manage test cycles, test cases, and test execution
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to clarify requirements and resolve issues
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives (Agile/Scrum environment)
• Ensure timely test execution and provide clear test status reports to stakeholders
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and documentation standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance
• Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies and SDLC/STLC
• Proven experience in test documentation and test case management
• Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, similar)
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or equivalent
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
