Power BI Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy Power BI reports and dashboards based on business requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify key business metrics and reporting requirements.
• Lead the migration of Tableau dashboards to Power BI, ensuring a smooth transition, data accuracy, and the preservation of all functionalities.
• Optimize data models and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for enhanced performance and scalability within Power BI.
• Ensure seamless integration with various data sources (SQL, Excel, cloud services, APIs) for reporting purposes.
• Build and reuse template/components/web services across multiple dashboards.
• Perform data analysis and validation to ensure accuracy in reporting and visualization.
• Implement security policies and maintain compliance with internal data governance policies and access controls to safeguard sensitive data within Power BI.
• Provide user training and support to ensure a smooth transition from Tableau to Power BI.
• Stay updated with the latest Power BI features, tools, and best practices, and incorporates them into existing and new projects.

Requirements:

• 5-8 years of proven experience in Power BI and Tableau with a focus on data visualization and BI tool migration.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline is required.
• Experience in the design, development, and deployment of BI systems.
• Proven experience in migrating Tableau reports to Power BI and developing Power BI solutions.
• Strong experience with SQL, data modelling, and ETL processes.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs.
